Bring some joy to your school this winter!

Winter is looking a little rough for everyone this year. Frigid weather, more quarantines and shut downs... are you wondering how you are going to keep your school's spirit up while EVERYTHING is going virtual again?!

I hear you.

Come join us for our Kid's Baking Championship - Winter Edition!  It's the perfect mix of fundraiser and fun family social event!

3 rounds of wintery competition spread across 3 weeks to encourage creativity in your students and give them some after school or weekend joy.  They'll even compete against other kids for prizes.

❄️ Count our school in! ❄️

Fundraising

You will receive a special link to send to your school families and community.  For each family that registers, you will receive 20% back after the completion of the event.  That's it!  You don't have to collect money, find parent volunteers, or sell more "stuff".

Social Event

Most extracurricular school events are being cancelled this year.  Parents aren't even allowed in the school buildings!  Talk about lack of school spirit.  This event can really bring your families together for community and spirit!

Memories

Nothing like some Winter baking to raise the spirits of your students during this crazy time!  This competition will bring priceless smiles, laughter, and incredible joy back to your kids - and that is priceless! ❤️

We are here to make memories!

We have brought thousands of families together in the kitchen through our kids baking experiences at The Kennett Kitchen here in Kennett Square, PA over the past 4 years.

But now we want to spread our passion and impact even more families, whether near or far. That is why we're bringing this competition to YOUR kitchen!  I'll meet you there!  ❤️

When do we start?!

Frequently Asked Questions

The registration fee is $27, and is per family.  Your school will earn back $5.40 per family that joins.  This fee goes towards judges and prizes!

This is a completely virtual challenge. No physical supplies are mailed to your students.

As far as ingredients, they will need typical baking ingredients such as flour, sugar, etc, but they can be completely creative when it comes to the ingredients you use for each challenge. They do not necessarily need to buy anything special - in fact, I highly encourage you to DIY it all from whatever is on hand at home.

The first challenge will be available Monday January 25th.

The second and third rounds will begin on February 1st and 8th.

Entries will be submitted in a private Facebook group.  If a family does not feel comfortable sharing on Facebook or does not use Facebook, they can also submit via private email.

In the Facebook group, we highly encourage group interaction and community.  It is one of the best parts of the competition and really lifts the kids spirits up.  However, participation in the Facebook group is completely optional.

That's what is so great about this competition - It's suited for ALL ages of kids!

We have had kids as young as 3 and as old as 16 participate in our competitions and they all love it.

Younger kids will need more assistance and it is more a family activity to do together.  Whereas older kids can often complete the challenges by themselves with only a little adult supervision.

Either way, it's INCREDIBLE to see how creative kids of any age get, and more importantly, the overwhelming sense of pride and accomplishment they feel after creating something of their own in the kitchen.

Great question.  Our team of Kennett Kitchen judges will give comments on each of the entries as we go through the judging.  At the end of the 3 weeks, we will select winners from our nationwide event.  It is not guaranteed that someone from your school will win.

However, many of the schools we have worked with in the past chose to pick winners specifically from their school families and provide gifts to them on their own and it worked out great!  So that's always an option for you to do with your school as well.

Once the competition has ended, we will send a check directly to your PTO/PTA group.

That's the best part!  Your responsibility is to share the link for the competition with your families and drum up excitement for it!  And that's it.  We handle collecting money, conveying the challenges, building the community, and judging the entries!  It's really that easy!  It always helps of course for you to add inspiring and motivating comments, but that's entirely optional.
